New Chapter

Wow!, it's been a long time since I have been on my blog, nevertheless my thoughts continue. I have turned a new chapter in my life. I have embarked upon a new and exciting journey to higher learning. With the encouragement of my very talented and educated daughters I am off and running, and loving every minute. You are never too old and even though I don't feel old, society has put this thing into us that you retire and then live your dreams. However if you do what you are passionate about, you never have to retire and perpetually live out your dream. This new adventure has given me of sorts a new sense of rejuvenation and focus. It is my desire to fulfill my purpose that God has given me and leave a legacy for my children and grandchildren to be proud of. Chau!

Dating or so they call it

Well, I've heard about the crazy things that go on in the world of dating, but have never quite experienced it first hand. However that changed for the better????? While completely minding my own business, I was approached by a man driving a trash truck of all things and it so happened he turned out to be "trash"...... He proceeded to use flattery to try to entice me to be intimate with him without even batting his eye, and worse than that I didn't know him, and he didn't know me! He had one agenda and, one agenda only, to get the "Cookie". I felt like I had been propositioned. I had to ask myself, do I look desperate? I think not, because I am content with my current single status until Mr. Right comes along. I've been encouraged by people that love me to get on with my life and dating would be a part of that life. I figure that's why this encounter of the "weird kind" was something that I can surly learn from. Although this is definitely something new (the world of dating) that most men are after "the cookie" and that's all they usually want, if you're weak enough to give it up, they'll take it. However, I'm optimistic and did I mention (A Lady) that there are some (men) out there that are still gentlemen, and I plan to put forth the positive energy necessary for such a one. As the southern women do and feel, I will be tenacious and this negative experience is something that I will turned into a positive, and I plan to use my southern charm to get the man I deserve!

Officer Involved Shooting & Cat Tazing

Well, I'm not sure what to make of this where almost every time there is what they refer to as an "office involved shooting" it only happens when Blacks or sometimes maybe Hispanics are the victims. I don't quite understand why they are so "NERVOUS" when they put their hands on the trigger, if they're scared they need to choose another career/occupation. It seems they ALWAYS manage to "KILL" the victims, not just wound them like some other suspects. Makes you wonder???? They must have some type of skills when they can pick and choose who they "kill and who they "wound." It is soooo sicking, to always witness via news reports, where young black men are pulled from cars after being detained by "OFFICERS" who are supposedly "trained" to handle critical situations, seem out of control, kicking beating and just down right using brutal force (900 of them) on one person. It makes one wonder exactly what kind of training they are getting, or are they being given a "LICENSE TO KILL, BEAT AND MAME?" What a very nauseating feeling when you hear a story about a young groom to be, coming from his bachelors party and never getting to take his vows before being gunned down by "OFFICERS" in what they call an officer involved shooting, because they believed he had a WEAPON.... (with no weapon in sight) and being acquitted, and then turn around and hear the next story about "COPS" being fired when they tazered a cat! I love my two cats to death but I don't think their lives are more valuable than a humans. Well, I guess it would depend on the human..... What in the WORLD is going on here? I can assure you GOD....who does has the final say is definitely not pleased, and neither am I.

Justice, Example, or Racist????

What and when will they recognize????, I suppose when Jesus comes back,then and only then will blacks get the real justice we as a people deserve???? I am so sick of hearing about the system trying to make an example, and only using blacks to make the "example". Just to name "only a few" Marion Jones, she seemed pretty remorseful, about what she did, when the judge that sentenced her didn't care about the fact she had a child (in the months) sent her away for 6 months. When the white boy (in baseball I think) sit there and swear up and down he never did steroids, but they won't let up off Barry Bonds. Keep in mind he was tested and had the person who injected him testify that it went down. Well they just sentenced Wesley Snipes to 3 years for tax evasion, something bout wanting to send a message(MAKE AND EXAMPLE) for his celebrity status, we're talking misdemeanor. Just one other example of crazy injustice. The police officers that gunned down an unarmed groom-to be at his bachelors party with over fifty rounds of ammunition, and one of the cops was reloading, were just "AQUITTED" what on earth is going on? They chose to have a judge rather than a jury and got what they wanted. Steve Harvey, I have to agree with, that they have only exchanged ropes for guns.....

Whoever or Whatever!!!!

Well I guess Americans are going to eventually get fit, loose weight or be healthy after all. With the price of gasoline, food and the like (anything that has to do with fuel) and driving your automobile. I can only speak for me, but for myself I will be peddling, walking , scooting or whatever it takes to get from point a to point b......as my bicycle is just sitting in my garage waiting for the prices to reach $4 a gallon. I "REFUSE" to be taken advantage of by "WHOEVER or WHATEVER" is behind the rising cost of fuel. It cost about $50 to fill up for me and that is just ridiculous. What the hey! Americans better get a grip and git up off they spoiled ungrateful selves and stop being taken advantage of, that's my thoughts on the whole ordeal.
